The Well And Good would like to invite you to join us on our Devil’s Dyke and South Downs loop. This walk is a bit of a tougher walk that serves up dramatic views, steep climbs, and sweeping Sussex countryside. The route covers open chalk grasslands, ancient woodlands, and panoramic ridges—perfect for those seeking a sense of achievement and a deep connection with nature.
Distance: ~7 miles (11 km) circular
Elevation: Several steep ascents and descents, including the iconic Devil’s Dyke valley
Estimated Time: 3–4 hours (allow extra for breaks and soaking up the scenery)
Start/End Point: Devil’s Dyke car park (BN1 8YJ)
