What to expect from The Well and Good

Our walks?

Our walks are perfect for easing anxiety and gently supporting mental wellbeing. We combine movement, nature, and connection. No pressure to talk, just space to be.

Whether we’re meandering through woodland trails or taking in the sea-salty air, our walks are a safe space to talk (or not), reflect, connect, and simply be.

Come walk with us. It’s not about the miles, it’s about the moments.

Our wagon?

Our Well And Good Wagon (affectionately named Wanda) isn’t here to fix you, she’s here to meet you, exactly where you’re at. Whether she’s parked up in a village square, at a local event, or tucked away in a quiet green space, Wanda opens her doors to anyone in need of a safe, welcoming pause.

Inside, you’ll find calm, connection, conversation, or just a cuppa and a quiet moment. She’s stocked with resources, stories, and signposts to support.

Projects

Our first project, The Elements Of You’ which is being funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, will consist of a series of soul-nourishing sessions designed to gently support mental health by reconnecting people with the natural world and their own inner landscape.

  • Campfire conversations for connection
  • Water-based experiences to soothe the nervous system
  • Creative expression as a path to clarity
  •  Nature walks to support grounding and emotional balance
  • Forming a community garden/meadow

This isn’t therapy in the traditional sense. It’s community, connection, and care.

Our Mission

Halnaker Tree Tunnel

Our mission is for healing minds and the environment… one forgotten field at a time.

The Well and Good Wagon is on a heartfelt search for a little piece of land in West Sussex, a patch that may seem too wild, too weedy, or too awkward to manage, but with the right hands and heart, could become a haven for both people and the planet.

We’re dreaming of a space where a wildflower hay meadow can bloom again. Why? well because heartbreakingly, England has lost 97% of its wild meadows since the 1930s. We want to help bring that magic back. A space for community gardening, growing fruit and veg, creating biodiversity-rich corners for butterflies, bees and birds — and a safe, regenerative environment where people can reconnect with nature and themselves.

In a time of extreme weather, rising food costs, and rising mental health struggles, we believe in solutions rooted in the earth. This won’t be a festival field or a big community takeover, think more like a gentle gathering place, designed with care and quiet purpose.

If you (or someone you know) owns land that’s currently unused, unmanaged, or unloved, we’d love to talk. We’ll turn it into something sustainable, soulful, and good — and we’re actively exploring environmental and wellbeing grants to help us make this vision thrive.
